New York, Sept. 24, The New York Giants won the National League pennant to-day by defeating Boston Braves in the tenth inning, two to one. Each team hit seven times and the Giants had two of the three errors, but they had the edge of luck, which has brought them to a league championship in a belated drive for honours.

They will play the first game, of the World Series against the New York Yankees on their own grounds on September 30. FRENCH MOVE TO FOSTER SCHEME

Geneva, Sept. 24. M. Yves Delbos, the French Foreign Minister, to-day informed the Bureau of the League of Nations Assembly that he proposes to request the con- Vocation of the Bureau of le Dis- armament Conference, which has not met since the death of Mr. Arthur Henderson.

It will be recalled that the Bureau, al its last meeting, recommended that work
