Professor Sir Joseph Barcroft put the poser to dele- gates at the British Medical Association conference in Oxford.

Sir Joseph, who was a member of the committee appointed by the B.M.A. to study the relation of alcohol to road accidents, İsaid all thinking peoplé conceded that even in moderate quantities alcohol had an adverse effect, though taken some hours before driving..
