teeth that sparkle and charm
You, too, can have them—if you know this secret about removing film
Brushing with ordinary dentifrices can never give you the gleaming white teeth you envy, Only brushing with an effective film-removing dentifrice can do that. For film is the sticky, gummy coating that forms on teeth, obscures their natural beauty. Even worse, it glues to teeth the germs and acids associated with tooth decay. You must remove that film.
That's why we urge you to use Pepsodent, the special film-removing tooth paste, For Pepso- dent contains a cleansing and polishing sub- stance that is unexcelled in removing film from

WOMEN'S hats are to be higher next season, and the
flat crown is to be banished. This is the result of the move to shorten and widen skirts, a famous milliner told me to-day. Flat hats, she pointed out, look well only with a slim, straight silhouette. Persian turbans in velvet or felt, with pointed crowns swathed round with twists of coloured velvet, are by far the most attractivo of the coming new season's shapes,

A DASHING EFFECT
Not so happy are the new felt "sports" hats, with high, conical, rather narrow, crowns; but women will like some of the new "kepi" hats, inspired by the French soldier's cap.
With the vizor made of a thick twine net or fenthers, these will set off the new wide-skirted overcoats and give a particularly. dashing effect to the silhouette.
The simple idea of a single trimming is disappearing. Hat after narrow-brimmed hat is built up in front with masses of feathers, originally owned by an owl or a! pheasant.
One barbaric-looking trimming consists of a cluster of half a dozen tiny birds, placed so that their beaks point in the air. An-! other is a little bird's head, pathe- tically supporting a mass of fine veiling.
Birls are very much in. the news. In one of the material houses I was and dress. shown a woollen cont materials woven with scraps of fine gwan
feathers. Materials na a whole are sober, There are fewer colour mixtures and many more fabrics woven with tufin, fringes, and embroidered effects self-colours, while surfaces are softer and more velvety than last year.

The Judge: Well, all I can say is that it is a very shocking thing for any counsel to have to admit.
