The first French Ambassador to China, M. Paul Emite Naggiar, arrived in Shanghal fast week aboard the French mall ner Felix Roussel.. He left the ship in a French naval stoop and was taken to the French Bund where he inspected a guard of honour of French Coloniat troops, French Police and Itussian Volunteers, about 1,000 strong.
