Now this Fairweather Trend sult is the soundest investment you can have in your summer wardrobe. If you want to be formal, start with the suit. ·

Take the jacket off if you want to feel cooler, and you have the smartest sun-dress you could wish for the skirt and the little sun-top which you have been wearing under your suit. Then

for real sun-bathing you just whip the skirt off, revealing smartly pleated shorts which turn the whole thing into a play-suit, simply splendid for romping about on the beach.

The complete suit, consisting of the four pieces -jacket, skirt, sun-top, and shorts-would look enchanting in printed or uncrushable linen.

For the hat that is to accompany the outfit, choose something light yet shady.

A Breton sailor, in finest straw, with a ribbon picking up the colour of the frock, would be light- hearted enough for use with the suit in any of its versions.

Slimming

every one does "bleycling" in their slimming exercises

exercises

do your when

you go swimming -

AILY exercises, even early in the morn-. ing, are not easy to do when the hot weather is here. You either do them lazily -which is no good at all-or else you leave them out altogether.

Have you ever thought of adapting your exercises and doing them in the swimming bath? This is a good way of slimming and keeping cool at the same time. Swimming alone doen not necessarily reduce, though it is good for keeping fit. You can have your swim either before or after you do the exercisen.

There are many slimming exercises which can be done while holding on to the bar round the edge of the swimming bath.

Or you can get a device which has a long narrow bar in the middle, with two inflated rubber floats, one at each end. This makes an ideal thing to hold on to while you are doing your underwater alimming, you cannot swim you can still trust yourself in the deep end with it, and incidentally you can use it for learning to swim.

Lying flat on your Back

F

RST there are the exercises which you start lying flat on your back. You have to get yourself Into floating position, with your arm alraight above your head, holding on to the bar. That ensures your head being above water, and means you need not trouble about your arms. Almost

to touch the back of your Try head, first with one foot and then with the other. It would be impossible to do it with both feet together, since for that you need to have the firm ground, to support your body.

Just keep on Running

HERE is a well-known exercise you can do exercise which comes into ordinary army drill, or you may have done it in the gym in your school days. It is very good for alimming hips.

In the swimming bath, out of your depth, it becomes the same thing as trending water. You can hall on to the bar if your feel unsafe, but it is not really necessary to do so unless you cannot swim.

.

Don't swallow the Water

You

OU can end up with a simple exercise on your back. Lie on your back and keep the bar under the back of your neck, no that there is no danger of swallowing any water. Stretch your arms and legs out spread-eagle fashion, and bring them together again. Itepeat several times.

All these exercises should be repeated about six times each before going on to the next one.

These exercises wit prevent you from putting on weight in the holidays. The sea la a very good place in which to do them.
