THE flying purser appears this year-exnét counterpart of the officer who helps you on board ship. Puisers are being chosen for the twenty-eight 17% ton flying boats building at Rochester for Atlantic and speeded-up Empire services,
They will work on journeys like this: Three days to New York, a week to Australia, four days to South Afrien. Each will have on Joffee, with typewriter and ship's papers, on the top deck behind the pilots. Each will have up to twenty-four passengers and three and a half tons of freight to look after and put off at the 'right places....
Between Australia and England the flying purser will have to change six or seven currencies for passengers.
