The rise in steel issues WAS caused by the 50 cents advance in Pittsburg and Chlengo scrap prices, while aviation stocks advanced on good earnings reports, coupled with the belief that Government orders. are forthcoming shortly. Alcohol, automobile and metal stocks, also advanced. U securities were fairly steady, but, railroad issues de eltned after riso early in th session. Both bonds and stocks on the Curb Exchange were irregularly higher.
