WITH picturesque ceremony, in accordance with the precedent of centuries, the Coronation was

proclaimed in London this mouth.

Four times the proclamation was read-first from a balcony in Friary Court, St. James's; thon at Charing Cross; thirdly at the corner of. Ficet street and Chancery-inne; and finally at the Royal Exchange. The heralds rode in procession from point, to point, and a fifth picturesque ceremony was their reception by the Lord Mayor at Temple Bar.
