CINEMA NOTES

Parodies of "You're the Top", thei song that made America "Top" con- scious, caliven the Paramount pro- sentation of "Anything Goos" which opens to-morrow at the Queen's Theatre. This is the comedy' that created a sensation on the New York stage during its long run there, Bing Crosby, who hends the cast exchanges parodies with Ethel Merman. Every- thing from a Gershwin ditty to the Great Chinese Wall is invoked to bring out the lighter side of the "You're the Top" theme. Bing Crosby finds himself aboard ocean-going liner, with the borrowed pasaport of a public enemy in his pocket Ile eludes the ship's officers beautiful which acarching for a stranger whom he belteyes to be in distress. A would-be bad played by Charlie Ruggles, asaints him in his various disguises in order to keep out of the clutches of the law, and within speaking distance of his charmer, both of which endea vours occupy all his time. The direc tion is by Lewis Milestone.
