Chiu Ping, aged 39, banished for a period of five years on November 19, 1935, received sentence of four months hard labour.. He pleaded that he came back because a friend had got him a job as a. seaman. Inspector Portallion prosecuted.

Wong Hong, aged 37, banished for 10 years on February, 10 this year, was sent to prison for 12 months. He had four previous convictions, three being for breach of the Deporta- tion Ordinance. A ainillar term was imposed on Shek Yau, nged 32, banish- ed on April 4 this year for 10 years, who stated he came back to obtain money to cure his illness, and on Ho Ngan, aged 26, who was sent away for 10 years on February 23 last. Io Ngan also had four previous con- victions. Inspector G." A. Stimson was in charge of the cases.
