DOUBLE FINESSE AND DERBY 'DAY
With the Fifth Extra Meeting of the Hongkong Jockey Club to be decided on Saturday afternoon; most owners allowed their ponies to do much faster gallops yesterday morning at Happy Valley. Australian pontes, on the whole, did better than the China ponies, and among them we find Double Finesse, Derby Day. Perfect Day, Electron, Lancashire Lad, A Grand Time, Violet Queen, Halcyon and Night Star running In' great form.
Mr. Ll' Lan-sang's Bright View was in fine condition and Inished his mile in the excellent time of 2.06.1, last quarter 29.4 seconds. King's Jubilee and Royal Highness galloped together over six furlongs, which they did in '1.37.3.
