Mr. Eamon de Valera, president of the Irish Free State executive council, recently underwent a successful eye operation at Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. de Valera, who was suffering from a dangerous form of eye strain similar to that which troubled Mr. Ramany Mac- Donald, the former premier, was warned that unless he submitted to Immediate treatment he would go blind. Mr. de Valera (RIGHT) Is acen (ABOVE), leaving his London hotel with Mr. Dulenty, high commissioner in London for the Irish Free State.
