It is officially announced in an Italian communique that a motorised column of 3,000 cars and lorries has advanced from Dessiye towards Addis Ababa a distance of 140 kilometres. It is travelling on the Imperial Highway which, from the point it has now reached, has been largely destroyed by Ethiopian troops.
