OLYMPIC TEAM MOVEMENTS

(By "Veritas")

Yesterday there were some. rapid and somewhat unexpected changes in the movements of the Chinese Olympic footballers, whom according to arrange- ments were due to leave here en bloc to-day for Shanghai, But yesterday, at the last minute, it was decided to send twelve clayers to Shanghai by the Potsdam, while the passages of the remaining six players on the Tatsuta Maru were cancelled.

At the present time it is by no means certain whether Lee Wal tong, Tio Tian-guan, Two Kwal- shing. S. D. Liang, Suen Kam-nhun and Tay Qua-liang will go to Shanghai at all. They may well here for the return of the other

layers on May 4. Trul Ab-fat, Wing and Mak Sui-hon are definitely not travelin north. Taul and Woog are engaged in important work in Canton, while Mak Sul-hon is making as quick a recovery as possible from influenza.

I was informed by Mr. Wong Ka- teun this morning that decision may be made to send the other six player to Shanghai either to-day or to morrow so that they arrive by Sunday, but that none of them loft by the Tatauta Maru this morning..
