1936 will be a red-letter year in the annals of the China National Amateur Athletic Feder- ation: For first time in history it is sending a football team to compete in the World Olym- pics. Hitherto the Federation has contented itself by having soccer representation at the Far Eastern Games held at varying times in Tokyo, Shanghai and Manila. But, doubtless spurred by the achievements of the team in the 1934 Far Eastern Olympics, and the brilliant displays of the various provincial teams in the National Games last year, the Federation has decided to take the plunge and to send a delegation to Eu- rope next month,

Only 21 Players Will Go To Shanghai

Twenty-one players, and not the entire contingent of China's Olympic footballers will go to Shanghai on Wed- nesday. This is because Chua Boon-hay, Malayan left back, returned to Singa- pore on Saturday last. He will join his colleagues in Singapore during the second week in May.
