The man married one of the college girls, and it is now ad- mitted that he WOR previously married. His defence is that he thought his first wife was death..

Early in 1903, when Miss Beyers and Mr. Green were living at her -parents' house, her mother received an anonymous letter that Mr. Green was a married man.
He was asked for an explanation and repented the story he had toki Mas Beyers-that the children were those of his dead brother.
Miss Beyers regarded this anony- mous letter, continued Mr. Tucker, as emanating from some evilly-disposed
