KOTEWALL CUP FINAL
ARMY SIDE TO MEET NÁVY
Some little satisfaction, must be felt that the your 1935 concluded rather better than its predecessor with the small balance of $5,178.57 to the credit of Profit & Loss Account. This was a more favourable result than the prospects during the earlier period of
past year had led us to expect, and it was achieved though the exer cise of economy which was contributed to by the ordinary Directors them selves in the voluntary contribution of 50 per cent. of their full fees to which they were entitled, and which was their spat with shareholders when waived as a practical Resture of adverse conditions confronted them. While the Directora offered to their fees by half, which as you might have seen, is reflected in the accounts, it must not be assum- ed that they have abandoned the properly merly principle that they have earned their remuneration. In fact, the duties and the work devolving mention apon the Directors, not to their responsibilities, during the period under review have been
no less arduous than when normal conditions provall. Watchful carefulness and unremitting attention to detalls have been called for in the exercise of functions imposed at a time fraught with difficulties and exactions no less onerous than in prosperous times.
Shareholders will have noted the reappearance in our balance sheet of General Reserve Fund. In explana lion of this, I have pleasure in Inform. ing you that during 1936 through furtuitous circumstances an amount of $15.176.12 was recovered in respect of a debt which had been previously written off as bad. Following their usual conservative policy, your Directors thought it prudent to rein- state the General Reserve Fund at this figure, rather than credit the amount to Profit & Loss Account..

ceremonies were reminiscent of the former splendour of the Hapsburg families,
Attended by six archdukes and five former royal per archduchesses, sonages and hundreds of aristocrats of Austria, Spain, Hungary and Po Jand,
the bride and groom met at the altar.
During the ceremony, at which an archbishop was ofiolating, the young princess was asked, according to the ritual, whether
she was willing to marry the Princo. The bride turned to ex-King Alphonso and waited for his approval before she replied. Then, after he had smiled and nodded his head, she bowed and answered the archbishop-enter Speinl
