Signor Benito Mussolini, Italian Dictator, told the emergency meeting of the Cabinet to-day that Ethio- pia's armies must, and will, be annihilated completely, in order to attain security for Italy's colonies.
He emphasised that the victary: for. Italian arma at.. Lake Ashangi was of the highest importance, since Emperor Haile Selassie's Imperial Guard, in action there, The 'victory' was European-trained and equipped. meant that the morale of the defending forces would be severely shaken.
He added that the Government's resistance to League of Nations penalties imposed on Italy had been most successful.
