INTO A BOY

FOR 10 YEARS EVEN HIS PARENTS DIDN'T KNOW

TO-DAY

OXFORD, Apr. 1. a robust young man employed in a man's job as few months ago... a girl wearing feminine clothing carrying out household tasks and answering to a girl's name.

carpenter

This is the remarkable picture of a strange personality--- a boy who lived the first 16 years of his life as a girl. To- day a personal friend told the full story of the transformI- tion.

"For the first ten years of his life the child's parents never sus-a pected that he was not a girl," said the friend.

"His hair was allowed to grow in long curls and he wore dainty dresses. He was given dolls to play with and his other toya were all girls playthings.

"The parents were faced with very difficult situation. For the child's sake, it was decided to let him remain acting as a girl.

"To have taken on the role of a boy while living in that parli. cular district would have meant misery for him.

480 he continued to go to school with girls, was taught their lessons, and played their games.
