Neither have yet seen the pic ture. Chaplin was to attended the Hollywood premiere but at the Inst moment was called away..
He told me when he was hero last that he had not yet seen it, said he would "sooner or later."
Although both Charlie Chaplin and Dougins Fairbanks are due

The film gets cleanly into its stride with an elaborate sequence demons trating an automatic feeding machine designed to make a luncheon hour unnecessary in a workshop.
As the victim of the first demon stration Charlie presents a brilliant variation of the immortal custard pie comedy, and in rapid succession we have a good old-fashioned chase, an oikcan used as a weapon of de- fence and offence, and a prison riot, with a resounding banging of heads on a steel door.
The dream cottage has oranges and grapes and milk laid on, while the shanty collapses at all sorts of delici ously humorous moments. The fun in the department store is superb extravaganza, and the scenes in the cafe are delightful.
