London, Mar. 30.
At a Cabinet meeting to be held to-day it will pro- bably be decided to open conversations between the British, French and Belgian General Staffs at Brussels during the week of April 6. At this meeting of the military leaders of the three powers experts will discuss final and definite plans for operations in another possible European war.
First the strategists will deal with the problem of aerial co-operation. Secondly, they will discuss naval defence.
As soon as the Italo-Ethiopian dispute subsides Britain will withdraw most of her fleet from the Mediterranean, it is believed, relying upon the French war squadrons to defend her interests there in return for a British guarantee to protect France's North Sea shores:
The third point of the conference will be the collaboration between the land forces of the three nations, However, the representation of the British Army in any three-power war plans will probably be only symbolle for the time-being.-luited Press.

He emphasised that the basis of negotiations must be precise and serious. He had hoped that terr.. What value is a truly ff Germany reserved the right to repudiate it? M. Flandin asited. In ease of a new trenly being signed with Germany,į where was the impartial and inde- pendent judge when Germany would recognise? To what decisions would she submit?
Contradictory Views
was imposable not to perceive the profound contradiction in the two conceptions of international lite. First, there was Germany's conception of forca; secondly, there was the rest. of the world's conception of right.
The French people were as
much convinced us Germany of the neces sity of organising peace on selid and durable foundations, sald M. Fladdin. If Herr Hitler was prepared to enter into general ponce discussions without reserve or reticence, "let him reply to all our questions not by Vague speeches with the object of mislead- ing or putting to aloon public opinion, but by a categorical and precise de claration," M. Flandin urged.

Berlin, Mar. 30. Early this morning the final results of the German election showed that Herr Adolf Hitler's policies had the support of 98.70 per cent, of the German electors.
In effect, the election was a giant referendum; and the vote approved the abolition of the Versailles and Locarno Treaties; the reoccupation of the Rhineland by military forces; Herr Hitler's denunciation of the Franco-Soviet Pact as being incompatible with the Lo- carno Treaty and a menace to Germany, At the same time the result of the poll constitutes a warning to the world to keep hands off German internal affairs and. supports the Chancellor's demand for equal treatment of Germany in international matters.
The electorate' is solidly behind the Government's peace proposals to France and Belgium and accepts Herr Hitler as "the only will and compelling force of the nation."-United Press.
In connection with the trial, opening in Nanking to-day, arising from the attempted assassination of Mr. Wang Ching-wel, it is alloped that farshat LA Chai-sum, formerly Commander-in-Chief in
Canton (above) was amongst those who plotted the attempt.
