Newcr tle, Mar. 6. ALLEGATIONS that a retired Army major falsely claimed the body of an unknown woman as that of his half-sister were made in Newcastle Police Court to- day.

Major Arthur Harry Nelson Taylor, aged sixty-two, of West Park-avenue, St. Heller, Jersey; his wife, Mrs. Kate Emily Taylor, of Trewhitt-avenue, Whitley Bay; and Patrick Joseph Kelly, of Dover-street, London, W., were accused of offences against the Inland Revenue.
