ROYAL INTEREST IN HORSE RACING TO BE RESTORED BY KING EDWARD VIII
STEEPLECHASING MAY Two Ideal
BE FAVOURED
FAIRLY PROMISING STUD AT
SANDRINGHAM
London, Mar. 1.
The glorious days of horse racing, which reached their zenith during the reign of King Edward VII, are likely to be revived during Edward VIII. time.
The new King has taken over his father's stud farm at Sandringham, and also his airing of racers. While the court is in mourning for King George, they will be raced under the name of Lord Derby, but the King has indicated his intention of taking it up himself next year.
If and when be does it will be the fret time he has raced under Jockey Club rules, although he has bred a winner-Cornish Prince, in 1934.
