M. Brown.
The case for the plaintiff, which was concluded at the previous hear ing, was that the firm should be held Hlable for the return of the loan as Tam Cheuk burrowed the money on its behalf.
Opening his defence this morning, Mr. D'Almada submitted that the kole imup of the case was whether or not the money had been lent, to the firm or to Tam Cheuk under clrcumstances which rendered the Hable.
