raised when Lau Wal-män, a Chinese doctor, appeared on remand before Mr. W. Schofield, at the Central Magistracy this morning.

The defendant is charged with a breach of the Modical Ordinance in that he had practised as a surgeon at No. 124 Shanghal Street, first four, and possession of a certain polson,

and Novocain,
