Mr. H. J. Knight His many friends in the Colony will (Vio's Deislaike Orchestra, bo sorry to learn of the death of Mr. Horace Julian Knight, formerly Senior Sanitary Inspector-in-Hong kong. Mr. Knight passed away at his home, "Shek-O", in South Kil- worth, near Rugby, on January 11, has been and news of his death received locally by air mail. Much sympathy will be extended to Mrs. Knight, who is also well known in the Colony.

The late Mr. H. J. Knight was born in 1870, and tame out to Hongkong originally to join the, Police, being in the local appointed a constable' force in 1896. In 1899 he trans- ferred to the Sanitary Department, and rose to be First Class Sanitary Inspector in 1006. He was appointed Senior Inspector in 1922. For some time Mr. Knight was in charge of the Kennedy Town Slaughter House. Mr. and Mrs. Knight left for Home in 1927, when Mr. Knight retired on pension, and eventually settled down at South Kilworth, naming their homa "Shek-0" in memory of the Colony in which they had resided for Fʊ many years."
