Because, threats were received to kidnap their second son, Jan, Col. Charles A. and Birs. Lindbergh left secretly for England, where they have taken up residence. The Lindberghe do not plan to give up their U. S. citizenship, but, will reside in England permanently, making periodic visits to their homeland. Col. and Mrs. Lindbergh and their on Jon are shown above. Meanwhile, Bruno Richard Hauptmann is under sentence to die next month for kidnapping and murder of the Lindbergh's first son, Charles Augustus Jr.

Kidnapping le non-existent as a criminal activity in England, records of Scotland Yard and provincial police show no case of abduction for ransom. In consequence, other wealthy Americans besides Col. Charles Lindbergh have sought refuge there for their children. Horace Dodge Jr. shown with his children, Horace 3rd and Delphine, took his children to England to protect them,
