Paris, Jan. 14, Despatches from Addis Ababa indicate that another Ethiopian offensive in the Tigre region with Makale ns its objective, will be launched on January 20, the date of the Geneva meeting at which further sanctions against Italy will be considered.

This view is supported by the fact that Emperor Huile. Sclassic has written. from Dessiye to the head of the Catholic Church, saying that he has sent all his soldiers to the front and that he hopes to leave himself for the fighting lines the day after the Feast of Timken, which is the Ethiopian church's Epiphany and which falls on January 20. The Emperor enjoins the head of the church to pray for the troops who are going to battle.

The revival of prosperity in British trade in 1935 is to-day indicated in official returns, which show that imports at £757,000,000 registered an increase of £25,000,000 over 1934, and £82,000,000 over 1933. Exports, at £420,000,000 were £30,000,000 over the 1994 total and £58,000,000 above that of 1933.

Re-exports also were on the upward trend, it was shown, increasing £4,000,000 to a total of £55,000,000.
