It is learned that Great Britain has sent notes to Spain, Greece, Turkey and Jugo-Slavia asking whether these nations are prepared to support the British Navy if Italy attacks while Britain is carrying out her obligations under the League of Nations Covenant and Article XVI.

It is believed that these communications indicate the Cabinet's conviction that it is possible to continuo or extend sanctions only if the British Government is assured of the full co-operation of other members of the League of Nations.--- United. Press.
