CANTON AIR FORCE
TWO PLANES IN MID-AIR COLLISION
Canton, Dec. 18.
A serious mishap as a result of. which two Canton Air Force acro planes crashed onto the playground of the Third Municipal Middle School outside the East suburb, occurred here at 9 o'clock. this morning.
The two planes were smashed and all the four airmen in the places, at the time were killed Inatants. The Airmen were carrying out their sual morning training at the time.
Accordingly to eye-witnesses four
planes were
were in the air shortly before the Incident.
The two ill-fated planes were seen
that the air over the
East
and suddenly collided with cach other in mid air and fall straight down on to the playground of the school. Luckily there were n studenta there at that time.
Students and staff at once rushed to the scene and found the four afr men 'dead among a heap of debris. Canton Air Force Headquarters was quickly Informed, a medical unit and a sulvage party were rushed to the mene, and the wreckage and bodies were removed In the afternoon. Wah Kiu Yat Po.

Mr. Brereton is to be married this afternoon, his bride, Miss Elaine Moffit, arriving from Australia this morning aboard the a.. Kamo Maru.
