Marlene Dietrich Fade-Out MARLENE DIETRICH'S latest film, "The Devil is a Woman," is to be withdrawn from circulation all over the world-to appease Spain.

The Spanish Government have been greatly upset by the film in which the Dietrich plays the role of a dancer-glamorous, alluring, not over-clothed-who "vamps' a Spanish Army' ofllcer. They say it ridicules the Spanish Army: they have demanded its withdrawal.

And now the U.S. State De partment (the equivalent of our Home Office) has advised Para- mount, who made the film, to withdraw it as soon as possible, Reuter says. A little later Para mount announced that this would be done.

ERICH POMMER, the German film producer, has been engaged by Alexander Korda as a supervisor of productions at the new studios-being built by London Film Productions at Denham, Buckinghamshire.
