Kam Ah-san, 38, unemployed, was sentenced to three months' hard Inbour by Mr. Macfadyen at the Cen- tral Police Court this morning on a charge of the possession of a water pistol, an instrument fit for nn untuwful purpose, and not being able to give a satisfactory of the possession of it. Another man, Kam Yan-hong, charged with the possession of a toy pistol, was similar- ly sentenced.

The defendants, who were Shang- hai men, were seen by a Chinese de- tective squatting with another man in Chater Road at 12.45 p.m. on Thursday. On the detective's ap proach they got up and the third man bolted. The weapons were found. in the defendants' jacket pockels.

Both defendants siated that they picked up the pistols somewhere in Wanchni One of the accused slated that children were playing with the· pistola and dropped them.

Replying to his Worship, Detective Sergeant T. Cashninn stated that pistols of a similar type had been used on a previous ocension in An armed robbery, in West Point.
