Mr. Harold L.. Ickes, Secretary of the Interior, enlled upon tho United States oil industry to-day to voluntarily halt the shipments of thin commodity to Italy.

Mr. Ickes, In a statement, sorted that the Bureau of Minds had reqorted that oll shipments in September were higher than in August, owing to war scares.

The Exchange Market this afternoon experienced repercussions from the very severe attack of nerves which prompted Paris operators to large scale short selling.
