An authoritative version of Wednesday's interview between Sir Eric Drummond, the British Ambassador, and Signor Mussolini, discloses that Il Duce is seriously, concerned at the British refusal to take reciprocal action: following his withdrawal of troops from the Libya-Egyptian, frontier. He expected Britain to reduce hei Fleet in the Mediterranean.

It is understood that Signor Mussolini did not say that he regarded the present British naval strength in the Mediterranean as aggressive, but he told Sir Eric that Italy regards Britain's decision not to reduce it as "inexplicable" and definitely anti-Italian.
