JAPAN TO WIDEN HER PURCHASES
Osaka, Oct. 8.
The Chamber of Commerce here have again discussed the question of Japan's trade with the Philippines apparently as a result of the recent proposal from Washington.
The Chamber has decided to follow the recommendation of Japanese businessmen in the Philippines, that Is, to purchase Philippine products hitherto not purchased.
Importers here therefore are imme. diately requesting Filipinos to submit their prices.
They have said that Filipino cotton is Inferior; therefore their ordern will most probably consist of guano, chrome, salt and others totalling in all about twenty lines.
By this arrangement they hope to increase their sales of Japaness
