Lord Wright has been appointed Master of the Rolls in succession to Lord Hanworth, who has re- signed on medical advice.

Lord Justice Maugham succeeds the Inte Lord Tomlin as Lord of Аррелін

Mr. Wilfred Greene has been ap- pointed Lord Justlee.

The now Master of the Rolls was. called to the Bar at the Inner Temple in 1900 and has been a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary since 1932. He was a Bencher of the Inner Temple in 1923 and a Judge of the High Court of Justice, King's Bench Division, from 1925 to 1932.

Lord Justice Maugham has beenj Lord Justice of Appeal sincop 1034. He was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1890, was a Ren- cher in 1915, and a Judge of the High Court, Chancery Division from 1928 to 1932. He rowed No. 7 in the Cambridge Eights in 1888 and 1889 and was the winner of various cups at Henley.
