London, Sept. 26. Twenty-four hours after the alarm had been given, the seven- storied warehouse at the Colonial Wharf, Wapping, a still blazing. The outbreak, which is one of the biggest riverside blazes seen in London for many years, to-day spread to an adjoining warchogse containing stocks of ten, but scores of firemen rushed to the building, checking the flames be- fore they reached the stocks.

During the day, the roadway was blocked by huge masses of masonry which

from the burning building. An explosion which accompanied burst of fame alarmed the dwellers of usar-by tenements thin; afternoon, but nobody was injured.

Fire brigade oficers declared this evening: "We have still a long fight end, but we are rea-- sonably sure that we have saved the tea warehouse."
