The scaffolding was our chief trouble. We had so much of it that when the building was completed we had to call in detectives to find out which was the building and which was the scaffolding.
The structure was half-completel and architects from all over the world and Italy were coming in droves to marvel at it and jealously lean against it in a vain attempt to make it fall over. Then we lost the plans. Undaunted, we decided to do it from memory. The result was startling. Modern, that's what it was.
