DEATH OF MR. A. W. HERON

PASSES AWAY IN HOSPITAL

The leath occurred yesterday at the Kowloon Hospital, afler about three months illness, of My. Arthur William Heron, who was for many years in the employ of the Hongkong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown Co., Ltd.

Mrs. 12. M. D'A Gomés

The funeral of the late Mrs. Lindamina Marin D'Azevedo Gomes took place at the Roman Catholic cemetery, Happy Valley: yesterday, afternoon, the Rev. Father Russi officiating at the graveside.

The deceased lady, who passed away yesterday morning at her residence, No. 10, Austin Avenue, Kowloon, at the age of 64 years; was the wife of Mr. J. H. Gomes, formerly connected with the long- kong and Whampato Dock Com- pany, Ltd. She suddenly fell on Saturday, but up to her had been in the very best of health. The death of Mrs. Gomis has rob- bed the Portuguese community in the Colony of one of its oldest and most respected residents,

Besides her husband, three daughters (Mrs. Z. Xavier, Mrs. L. Xavier, and Miss. P. Gomes) are left to mourn her death.

The chief mourner at the fun- eral was her husband, and 'several of her nephews, Messrs. I. S. Gomes. J. R. Gomes, P. X. Gomes, J. II. Gomes and A. C. Gumis also attended,
