The device, which, it is reported, is the invention of Mr. Paul Humphrey MacNeil, well known infra-red ray ́research specialist, has already been demonstrated to naval, military and air experts of this country, and has been found fully effective in every detail. The tests have been going on for several months, and news of the invention leaked out only because of investigations by American authorities following texts of a similar, but not so effective, ray which took place off the coast of New Jersey a few days ago.
