Shanghai, August 9, Dr. H. H. Kung, the neting Chairman of the Executive Coun- cil, when interviewed here to-day, said that he was not aware of the resignation of Mr. Wang Ching- wei. He continued that before he left the expital he understood that Mr. Wang's health had improved and that he would probably return to the capital before the 20th. inst.

"If the report of his resignation is true," continued Dr. H. H. Kung, it is very likely that the Central Government will urge him to remain in his office.”
