CRAWLING ABOUT WITH LUMBAGO

Felt Like an Old Woman Here is some useful head cou

for anyone troubled with that uncom- · fortable, complaint, lambago. ''A'

·woman writes:

"For years I suffered from lumbago. During wet weather, I could only turn in bed with great effort and pain, I was so stiff and ached so much. Two years ago I had both lumbago and

clalicia, and crawled about for fortnight, feeling very sorry for my- self and looking 103 Instead of 33. Someone - said, "Try Kruschen Salts,' so I'did, and I have taken them ever since, with the 'result that 1 hardly -ever get a hint of lumbago theso

days."(Mrs.) G. P. C.

Why is it that Kruschel. Is No effective in keeping lumbago at bay? Bimply because it goes right down to the root of the trouble and removes the cause, which is an impure blood- stream. The six salts in Kruschen keep the blood-stream pure and vigorous by promoting a clockwork of all the organs of regularity elimination.

Vienna.

The Pretender to the throne of Portugal, Don Duarte, is quietly studying political economy and military sciences at the Vienna University, hoping some day to be- come King of his country, the United Press learns.

Deprived of his family's estates in Portugal, which it is sald the late Ex-king Manuel bequeathed to Portugal, Don Duarte is living on a scanty income given him by devoted Monarchist supporters.

His elder half-brother, who re- nounced all claims to the throne American, when he married an Anita Stewart, died some time ago. A relative of Don Duarte told the

once worked his way all through Portugal disguised as a chauffeur.

Life in exile has not been easy for him and his sisters. They are related to half the aristocracy in Austria, the reigning Prince of Liechtenstein placed one of his 77 castles Schloss Sebenstein not far from Vienna--at their disposal,

Hors they went in for agricul ture, Don Duarte having passed an agricultural course at the Toulouse University for this purpose. The princesses all helped with the chic ken farm, vegetable and frult grow- Ing.

LACK OF FOOD

During the war, the food short- age in Austria was an acute pro blem for them. Equipped with knapsacks, the princesses used to walk to the surrounding villages to obtain the little amount of food allowed by the government ration cards. But the cards were easier to get than the food and they eventually had to make bread them- delves out of wild chestnuts.
