The Franchise

During the past few months your Directors have been negotiating with the Government on the matter of the franchise and I am happy to announce that these have now been brought to a successful conclusion and we are indebied to the Governinent for its kind and sympathetic co-operation

As from the 1st, June this year we are operating the Jordan Rand Ser- vice on a new time table which will give the roxswains more time to bring their vessels into the berth, and arrangements have bean musle whereby three vehicle Ferry vessels will operate almost daily on the Jor- dan Road Route thus providing an unbroken as regular service serons the harbour.
