CO. VIEW
We have received the following further letters regarding the de- velopment of Hongkong as a big air-port:
1 wish to cumpliment you on the leading article of your issue of June 11, which had reference to a contributed article in the Hong- kong Telegraph of June 19.
Some, or possibly many of your readers may be surprised that a representa. tive of a shipping concern is in- terested in seeing an aviation com- pany call at this port. However. I feel that advancement in trans- portation facilities should never be at a standstill. If aviation is to be the transport of the future, these this port should be in on the ground flour.
1 am of opinion that the Anther- ities in Hongkong should extend every possible facility for develdp Ing Hongkong as a world airport. I am strongly in favime of facili ties being offered here to the Pan- American Airways with a view to making Hongkong ita western terminus of their Trans Pacifi service.

Placing Hongkong as a terminus for the Pan-American Airways would accomplish more toward put- ting Hongkong on the world tourist map than the investment of many thousands of local dollars advertising through the proposed Tourist Association.
