BUSINESS SUFFERS AS CODES DISSOLVE

Washington, June 6.

A resolution extending the skeleton National Re- covery Act organisation until April, 1936, but repealing all the presidential powers to prescribe, approve or enforce codes, was agreed upon to-day by the House of Representatives and Senate and Administration leaders. Earlier, study of the possibility of preserving labour standards through inter-state compacts, bolster- ed by federal co-operation, was initiated by President Roosevelt.

Congressional leaders declared that President Roosevelt may soon send a message to the House and Senate advocating an increased inheritance tax with a view to raising revenue and to replace the N.R.A. as a means of distributing income.-Reuter.
