Teachers Day Marked

MEETING HELD IN

INSPIRING ADDRESS

of

The second celebration Teachers' Day in Hongkong took place this morning when teachera of the vernacular schools in the Colony gathered at the King's Theatre.

Teachers' Day was inaugurated last year and was celebrated in the same manner. On that occasion, Professor L. Forster, of the Hong- kong University, delivered an ad- dress stressing the importance of the functions of teachers in social life and outlining the works of great English teachers in history.

Mr. Chan Tit-yat, of the Mui Fong Girls' School, presided at this morning'a function, which was at tended by nearly 300 teachers.
