This year's Cambridge Univer- sity side should be rather stron ger in bowling than usual, as four of the Old Blues who will be in residence-G. W. Parker, the captain, M. Jahangir. Khan,, F. King, and J. W. T. Grimshaw- are bowlers. Actually Parker did little bowling for either Cambridge or Gloucester last year, but he is much better with the ball than many people ima-¦ rine.

Jahangir Khan was a disappoint- ment last year but he was suffering from a bailly strained groin for mast of the season and he blundered in at-i tempting to bowl fast. With haj short run the Indian is a merlium-pace bowler, King is also mediuni and Grimshaw in slow left.

Here are the Cambridge University crew who defeated Oxford for the twelfth time in succession in the annual renewal of the classic host race. The light blun crew got away slightly behind the heavler Oxford oarsmen, but rapidly pulled to the front and stayed there. The time was 19 minutes and 48 seconds, much slower than the record.
