Functions at Clubs

The health of His Majesty the King was drunk at the Kowloon Bowling Green Club ut noon nt 12 gathering of members over which the President, Mr. W. E. Hale, presided.

There was a large gathering pre- sent, and prior to the Toast hora d'obuvrea were served.

Proposing the toast of the King, the Prealdent, said:

"Ladles and Gentlemen,-It Is with the greatest of pleasure that I propose the Toast on the 25th anniversary of the reign of His Blajesty the King. We are all of us, with the exception of the chil- dren, familiar with the remarkable events that have taken place dur ing his reign, in all of which lie Majesty has always had that tact and dignity with which he is so justly favoured.

"It must be a matter of great pride and gratification for him to realise how many people through out the world are gathered to-day to do him honour.
