RESTRICTING ́
MARRIAGES
Chicago, Apr. 2.
The Illinois Legislature wants to mako harder to get marrieil und easier to got divorced,
As a side issue the legislators will consider the "racketeering" aspects of holy matrimony. In prospect is the outlawing of such dubious enterprises as breach of promise and allenation of affections suits.
If the "Heart Balm" suit is not thrown completely into the discard, as in New York, legislation con- cerning it may be so modified as to make polite blackmal less certain of profit.
Senator Richey V. Graham of Chicago is sponsoring four marri- age reform bills prepared by Judge Rudolph F. Desort of Cook County.
