CLUBS EFFORTS TO COMPLETE CRICKET FIXTURES
CRAIGENGOWER PLAY
I.R.C. SUNDAY-
SMART PERFORMANCE BY INDIANS IN JUNIOR GAME
MORE ARMY STATISTICS: THE SECOND DIVISION TEAM.
(By R. Abbix)
One must heartily congratulate Craigengower, and the I.R.C. in their determination to finish their Longue fixtures. I hear that the First League game will-weather permitting-be played on the Indians' ground on Sunday next. The Junior game took place on Saturday last and the LR.C. stayed a great come-back to beat the-quite-useful C.GC. socond eleven. It must be stated, however, that the latter team were one short.
Batting first Kitchell played nearly twenty years, as he suffers what 1 am told was a very nice from the golf game! But when he knock and was unlucky to mias his seceded and went to Fan Ling he' half-century. There were several was an uncommonly useful slow other useful acores and LR.C. hawler. made a Bound declaration at 139 for neven,
ugo.
MORE ARMY,. CRICKET Last Wednesday I gave a few G. A. Leg und Anderton made a figures and reflections about the good start but the later batsman Army Ride itself. It is a scrent were helpless against the excellent proof of the popularity of the bowling of A. Baker, who, if my game in the Army that besides memory serves me, used to play their first league side they have for the frat team nat ao very long less than three small unit, vides His figures were 11,1——, playing in the Junior League, 26-7.
In the old days the Gunners ran For the losers Hubbard bowleif; a first Division for "League") side very stendily, as he sent down and the English Regt-only one fifteen overs for only 21 runs, then-usually had a side in too. taking three wickets therein.
Now the duties of an officer of a line regiment seem a multifarious The match between Dodwells both of and on duty tnt they and Wayfoong was very interest-have not the time to get a regular Ing. The former relied chiefly unregimental side going. Partie no Acci Bowker for their bowling and doubt this is due to the vastly Tom Hayward for the batting, but neither came aff. The latter had bad luck in playing a ball on to bba fost and seeing it roll back into his wicket.
DODWELLS' DEFEATED
But the unkindest cut of all was when Dunkley refused to remain quictly behind the sticks, and came out and bowled Dodwell's out or anyway took four wickets for five runa. Smith was the most success. ful for Dodwells while several of the Protectors, of our Overdrafts did very well.
It was interesting to see that
who, at the end of the season, They had 28 points in ten games, "found it difficult to raise a side, of which I append the details.

They have played together very | Curiously enough much the same well and Walch has scored no less thing happened in the case of than 282 in seven innings. The Lt. Col. Wyatt, RE, who got his curious thing is that Ballard Interport Cap in 1928 or 1929. Ho though he has done such good was more successful in blg game a
than for the Sappera in the work for the Army side, has much smaller measure of sucenas Lengue! in the junior games. He certainly took 28 wickets for seven runs aplece hut Private Foryth had a similar number at 4.73 a wicket!
